Dr. John Cooke

Dr. John Cooke grew up in Temple Texas and graduated from Temple High School in 1987. In 1998, he graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston College of Optometry and was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa honor society. The curriculum at the University of Houston included theory of optics, anatomy, and pathological conditions of the eye. Dr. Cooke did his internship with the Cornea Associates of Dallas where he gained valuable experience with anterior segment disease and laser vision correction. While there, he even had his vision corrected with Lasik.

After optometry school, Dr Cooke moved back to central Texas and has been practicing in Killeen for the past 16 years. Over that time his practice received many “Best of Central Texas” awards from the Killeen Daily Herald. When the opportunity to buy Temple Vision came about, Dr. Cooke felt it was his calling to come back to Temple and provide eye care to the community he lives in. Dr Cooke truly loves his profession and looks forward to providing vision care for you and your family.
